Introduction
The world is full of hard-working people (doctors,
scientists, computer programmers, writers, sportsmen, artists, teachers,
etc.) With their work our lives are easier and more interesting and we are
happier.
These
are five important people for us: Toni Morrison, Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin,
Ada Augusta Byron, Marjorie Jackson Nelson, and Edmonia Lewis. Do you know
them? What do they have in common?
With
this WebQuest you will learn about their lives, works, and places of
residence, and you will be able to show your findings to the rest of your
school.
You will work in pairs and groups and you will have different roles:
biographers, work researchers and travel agents. Are you ready to begin?

Task
The final project will be a poster on an important woman. The poster will
give information about her life, work, and an important city in her life. You
will stick texts and pictures on a poster board. You will explain the poster
to your classmates. Finally, the project will be hang on your school walls.
Be neat and tidy . . . everybody will see your work!

Process
To do this WebQuest you
have to follow these instructions very carefully:
- Your teacher will divide the class into five groups of six
students (groups A, B, C, D, E, F). Each group will work on an important
woman.
- Within each group, you will work in pairs. Each
pair will have a role: a pair of biographers, a pair of work researchers, and
a pair of travel agents.
