How are you? I’m very happy in the States. I’ve got a lot of new friends and we have a good time together. But I also miss my friends there. And I miss you, too.
At the moment I’m waiting for George (my best friend here) and listening to the radio. My sister Mary is carving her pumpkin for Halloween. You know what? We’re having a Halloween party next Saturday and we are preparing it. Everything is planned: We are buying drinks and snacks and wearing scary costumes! My dad is cooking a cake for us. It’ll be a lot of fun!
As you know, Halloween is celebrated on the night of 31st October. People dress up as ghosts or witches and put Jack-o-lanterns at home (do you know what they are?). Children play ‘trick or treat’ and teenagers listen to music and dance.
